A central feature of Israel’s identity as a Jewish state is to claim exclusive ownership and control over the land of historic Palestine.

Israel’s methods of confiscating Palestinian land echo the historic and present-day “legalized dispossession” of other settler-colonial regimes, including the United States, Canada and Australia. By rooting our analysis of ongoing discriminatory land policies in Palestine/Israel within the framework of settler-colonialism, AJP draws from and uplifts the work of partners protecting indigenous rights in Turtle Island (North America) as well as those resisting gentrification and development-induced displacement.

“Any political solution must answer for historical injustice.”
